After several digital publications it is time for the former vinyllabel “Twin Town Production” to present to you a classically oriented house record:
“Compensation” is the title of the first EP of “Roshan Bay”, who previously and foremost released under the techno alias of “Lars Landen”. In his creation the relatively unknown artist abstains from a whitenoise-studded high gloss production without trailing off to be a grotesquely distorted imitation of the house music origins.
The titletrack is coined by its sheer dissonant atmosphere, driven by a warm-friendly groove and intersected by fluffy chords. “Marylin” in contrast represents swooshing house distinguished by a saxophone sample and the melancholic blues bassline. His interpetation of “C’hantal”s 90’s rave manta “The Realm” certainly provides some furore. Additionally suprising is the remixers “Hofuku Sochi” containing a “Vapor Club Edit” of the outro “_” that elevates the whole creation to a contemporary level.
