ELP Media and Publishing Gmbh or ELP (short for Electronic Label Pool) was first founded as a conglomerate of a handful of labels under the Zenit Music GBR trademark which was founded in January of 1998. In its founding years the labels consisted of the following brands: Zenit Music, Design Music, Question Records, i220 Music, Design Music, Gadgets Records and 1000 Records.

Changing the name and turning into a GmbH in late 1999, the company became ELP Medien und Verlags GmbH with its main office being located in Offenbach, Germany. On July 11, 2001 ELP set up its Anglo-American leg, ELP Media Corporation and ELP Media & Publishing Ltd., with offices in New York City and London, respectively.

Encompassing a group of independent record labels, ELP also covered the following business fields: publishing, administration, distribution, licensing and production of sound carriers and licensing of sound material to be used in all new and contemporary media.

Corrado Izzo is a musician and producer with an background in the fields of music and media A&R and international independent media distribution. Before the founding of the ELP Structure he was the co-owner of another company, Neuton Medien und Verlags Gmbh, which have creating a channel for electronic music and independent labels in the early 1990s.
