German-born, Amsterdam-based artist Retromigration has been carving out a distinct path for himself over the last year with his tantalizing, raw house sound. Combining elements of classic production techniques to sculpt his warm, authentic sound.
His Nigerian and Ghanaian roots shine through with distinct musicality and a blissfully laid-back approach to his grooves, his records have been previously snapped up by established imprints including Rhythm Section International, Wolf Music, and Handy Records to name just a few.
His fusion of hip-hop and house stems from an upbringing of studying jazz bass and is evident throughout this stunning release. A gentle touch of sampling and expertly played basslines glue these fantastic tracks together to form the joyous ‘Kush Calls’ EP.
