Azuli Records
House label founded in London in 1990 by David Piccioni and based above Black Market Records in Soho.
General manager from 1993 to 2003: Simon Marks.
Like several other London labels from the same era, early Azuli releases had a fake New York address on the labels e.g. Disco Elements – EP Vol 1. Azuli’s UK Garage releases, with their black sleeves, started in 1997.
The company behind the label from 2004 to April 2009, when Azuli went into liquidation, was Coolpool Ltd. aka Cool Pool Ltd. The back catalogue was purchased by Phoenix Music International Ltd.
