Cocoon Recordings

Cocoon Recordings was founded in 2000 by DJ and producer Sven Väth in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, as part of the Cocoon Music Event GmbH. The label provides a platform for electronic artists to release music independently of major label structures. While its roots lie firmly in techno, Cocoon Recordings embraces a wide spectrum of electronic music styles, consistently focusing on high-quality, forward-thinking productions.

As a vinyl-first label, Cocoon Recordings remains committed to physical releases alongside digital formats. Its annual compilation series, launched with letter A and continuing alphabetically each year, has now traveled far along its journey. The series has earned cult status and has become a treasure chest of electronic music, featuring exclusive tracks that capture both emerging voices and established talent.

In addition to the compilation series, Cocoon Recordings regularly releases EPs, singles, and albums, occasionally as special editions on colored vinyl or picture discs, underlining the label’s dedication to creativity, quality, and the vinyl experience.
